Start Your Studio Art and Design Scholarship 2016

Jasco in conjunction with Winsor & Newton, Liquitex and Conté à Paris Australia, has selected Leah as one of three recipients for the Start Your Studio Art and Design Scholarships for 2016. This scholarship supports emerging artists currently studying creative arts at a tertiary level. The recipients are awarded Winsor & Newton, Liquitex or Conté à Paris art materials, to the value of $1000 each.

Delve

During September, Leah will be part of a group exhibition in Canberra. The exhibition called DELVE, will also feature work by Helen Braund, Tiffany Cole, Gosia Pilat and Lia Tajcnar.

All are welcome to the opening reception on Thursday 1 September 2016, ANU School of Art Gallery at 6pm. Exhibition continues till 1 October 2016.

Fremantle Art Centre Print Award 2016

For a second consecutive year, Leah has been selected as a finalist in the Fremantle Art Centre Print Award. The FACPA is Australia’s premier showcase of prints and artist’s books, displaying a selection of the best works from established, emerging and cross-disciplinary artists from across the nation. In 2016 the Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award supported by Little Creatures Brewing continues to present works that celebrate classical printmaking while simultaneously embracing cutting-edge interpretations of the medium. Trustees Watercolour Prize

Leah has been awarded the Trustees Watercolour Prize as part of the Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Congratulations to Louise Hearman, the Ken Family Collaboration, Esther Stewart and Betina Fauvel-Ogden, winners of the Archibald, Wynne, Sulman and Packing Room Prizes. The winners and finalists for all the prizes can be viewed on the AGNSW website The exhibition is showing at the AGNSW through to 9 October 2016.

Wynne Prize Finalist

Leah has been shortlisted for the Wynne Prize. One of Australia’s biggest art prizes, the Wynne Prize is awarded to the best landscape painting of Australian scenery, or figure sculpture. The Wynne Prize will be exhibited with the Archibald and Sulman Prizes from the 16th of July until the 9th of October 2016 at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
